Alyssa Wronski

Alyssa Wronski is the student ambassador for the Undergraduate Research Program. Alyssa is a Senior Honors Neuroscience and Cognitive Science double major with a pre-speech-language pathology specialization and an applied voice minor. She works as a Resident Assistant in a first-year residence hall and is a Peer Mentor in first-year seminar classes. She has also worked as a research assistant in the Psychological & Brain Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, and Communication Sciences & Disorders departments at the University of Delaware. Alyssa plans to continue her education with a Master’s program in Speech-Language Pathology. She one day aims to be a voice-specialized speech-language pathologist. You can see her sing and perform with the UD Chorale!

Yoo Jin Choi

Yoo Jin Choi is a Curatorial Track Ph.D. candidate in art history at the University of Delaware. She received her B.A. in art history from Northwestern University (2015) and M.A. in art history from George Washington University (2019). She has held curatorial and education positions in Korean and American museums, including Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library, Textile Museum, Seoul Foundation of Arts and Culture, and the John Michael Kohler Arts Center. Currently, Yoo Jin is writing her dissertation on the American collecting and display practices of Korean textiles in the nineteenth century.

Rosalie Rolón-Dow

Rosalie Rolón-Dow, Ph.D., is Faculty Director of Undergraduate Research Program and Associate Professor in the School of Education. Rosalie received her Ph.D. from Temple University’s Urban Education Program. After a postdoctoral fellowship at Teacher’s College, Columbia University, Rosalie began working as an Assistant Professor at UD’s College of Education and Human Development. Rosalie is passionate about making research accessible to all undergraduate students and about the power of research to shape students’ interests and career trajectories. In her own research, Rosalie focuses on race and culture in education, specializing on the experiences of racially minoritized and historically excluded students in higher education settings. In teacher education, her work focuses on the development of racial literacy in teacher candidates and the integration of culturally sustaining pedagogy in schooling. Most recently, she is pursuing research related to how different research structures shape the experiences of undergraduates engaging in research.

Lauren Barsky

Lauren Barsky is the Associate Director of the Undergraduate Research Program.   Lauren graduated from Millersville University of Pennsylvania in 2003 with Bachelor of Arts Degrees in both Psychology and Sociology.   Lauren attended the University of Delaware for her Masters and PhD in Sociology where she held a graduate research assistantship at the Disaster Research Center.  After graduating with her PhD in 2011 Lauren worked briefly at Argonne National Laboratory before coming back to work at UD.  Lauren has been with the Undergraduate Research Program since 2013.   Outside of work Lauren enjoys traveling and all things related to the Philadelphia Phillies.  Drop by and say hello sometime!
